Welcome to the Grades 3/4 Math Page!

March 19, 2012

Welcome  Back to Our  Math Page!

I hope you and your family had a great March Break!

We are taking a break from fractions this week, to review multiplication.  We will complete a pre-assessment on Monday, and work through some problems relating to multiplication, and practice various methods of multiplication.

We will return to fraction and decimal concepts later in the term.

While students are permitted a calculator for many problem solving activities, I would like to encourage the students to practice their multiplication facts at home.  Ms. Stark is going to find some extra time for students to work on the Timez Attack program that works on multiplication and division facts, which should really help.  If you have a computer at home, and would encourage your child to practice this program at home, please contact the school and I will assist you in setting up this program.

We will be setting up some Timez Attack and Dreambox recess opportunities for students to take advantage of using these programs at school.
Thank you for your support!

Have a great week!

  Mrs. Mutton
