Welcome back to our webpage!
Thank you for the clothes that you sent in for the boxes. We seem to be getting a bit wet outside these days, and we have had a few spills. It is nice to have dry clothes to change into!
On Wednesday, we will be welcoming our new Junior Kindergarten students to school. They will be coming to our class at 9:15am. We are excited to meet our new students! This year's class has been invited to participate in some learning centres in Mrs. Sinclair's room, so they will get a chance to be in the grade 1/2 room for awhile. It will be an exciting day for everyone!
I would like to thank you for your ongoing support with the book bag program at night. I realize that reading every night, especially when the weather is nice, can be difficult. The few minutes that you take to hear your child read every day, really makes a difference!
In language this week, we will focus on finding the problem in a story. We will also continue to work on the features of non-fiction text.
In math, we will continue learning more about two and three dimensional shapes. After we finish with shapes, we hope to move on to money!
Have a great week!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at the school.
