Welcome to the Portal Site for the Near North District School Board. This site has been designed and populated with the goal of providing an easy way for teachers, staff and students to get access to the resources they need, to collaborate on work together, and have a place to manage and store information.
Information is organized into sub-sites, document libraries and pages, with the intention that users will be able to add on to this information. The webpages themselves are easily edited through a simple web interface.
School websites will now have a uniform theme, branded with their own logos and colours. These sites will allow the school to create their own content, while having a recognizable theme that is tied to the Near North District School Board. Beyond the School websites, each member of the Near North District School Board: Staff, Student or Teacher will have the ability to create their own personal MySite, from which they can monitor their email, friends, update their calendar, and use a variety of social, collaborative, and organizational tools.

Departments, Committees & Councils will now each have their own sub-site for storing meeting notes, important documents, posting work notices, and discussing with other members of their team.

Resources for Elementary, Secondary and Library Services are now stored under Teacher Resources, with major subjects having their own sub-sites for course planning and discussion.

Access to the wide assortment of Educational Technology tools and support is now easily accessible and instructions from everything from SMART Boards to SharePoint are available.
The Near North District School Board portal, powered by SharePoint, is a powerful tool for use by all members of the School Board. A lot of work has been put into making it as user-friendly as possible, and making it simple for the users of the site to update, add and modify information.
